Organ Embroidery Needles

Organ Needles have been the most widely chosen needle brand by the world’s top sewing machine manufacturers. Organ needles work in industrial embroidery machines as well as many home sewing machines. Because of how Organ needles are produced, using exceptional materials, the needle stays sharper longer, resulting in less thread breaking, skipped stitches, and jamming.
Great quality embroidery needs a quality needle and quality thread. The Organ needle has an oversized eye to help reduce the stress and tension on embroidery thread, creating a smoother finish.
But no needle brand on the market will last forever. Needles dull from use. The finishes and dyes from some fabrics may cause needles to dull or get burrs that may damage threads or the fabrics.
Doug, being a technician would often hear something is going on with the machine, the embroidery is looking poorly or the machine isn’t sewing right. Too often, Doug would go in and change the needles out (or change out their discount needles for the Organ needle) and things would run beautifully. It is still one of the first things we ask a customer to try, change the needle.
How often should I replace my sewing needles? Machine needles should be replaced after a maximum sewing time of 8 hours. Replace needles more frequently when sewing synthetic fabric, appliqués or thick or hard materials. This will avoid skipped stitches, fabric pulls and frayed threads. If a needle bends or has burrs, do not sew with it. Eight hours doesn't mean every 8 hours you have to change all your needles. But if your embroidery isn't looking great, first place to start is to change that needle.
The needle is not a permanent machine part. Needles get dull from use. Needles are meant to be changed. Clues to Changing the Needle - Shredding or broken threads. Skipped stitches. Puckered or damaged fabrics. Uneven seams. Popping, clicking or clunking sound.
The Organ needle comes in specialty needles as well. Needles specially made for Metallic thread, needles for Leather (or thick vinyl). And there’s a multitude of sizes to choose from. Ball point and Sharps are also something to consider when making a purchase. Titanium vs non-Titanium needles are another consideration. Sure, you can buy the needles from a huge company and maybe even save a buck. But they won't care about you or your business. They won't have time to answer your questions and will just point to their 'help' section and make you search out the answers yourself.
