Solvy, what is it and why and when should I use it?

Solvy is a type of stabilizer that can up your game for your embroidery. The solvy means water soluble and the name stems from when you put water on the solvy, it will dissolve leaving behind just the embroidery. 
Solvy or solvent styled stabilizer is for the top of your garment, instead of underneath it like other types of stabilizers. This can help the design stand out or help it not to sink into the garment or item you are embroidering on.  Keeping your embroidery looking crisp and sharp and having an edge on standing out.
Though it is not used for everything, it still is a key player for any embroiderer.

There are a few methods to removing solvy. One way is to tear off excess and use a steamer. Another is tear  off excess and use a toothbrush and cup of water to help dissolve what is left over.

Especially great for things like towels, thick plush styled jackets and more.
Solvy comes in rolls and pre-cut sizes.
