Time Flies when you aren't looking. I apologize for this Blog being so late.
Today I am going to tell you that we are launching our Blue Sky Embroidery machine at the end of August.
This is Doug's baby, his creation. And we're excited! The blue picture in this post is the color of our machine, that's our first sneak peek!
Our motto has always been that when you purchase a machine (or product) through us, you aren't alone. We stand by that to this day, 17 years later. The embroidery world can be hard enough without buying from someone who doesn't care about you or your business.
With Advantage Inc. we do care. We care that you succeed. We want to help give you the right product to fill any order you have. A quality product that you can count on and a seller who is in your corner.
We have always backed any machine we have sold and with our own we are going to be even more so (if that's even possible). We want you to consider stepping up into the Blue Sky with us and taking a look at our 15 needle embroidery machine. You won't be sorry you waited. You'll have Doug and Jesy on your side, walking with you. Free training (online or in house- NO Video but a Live person), free tech help, free maintenance training and so much more. We'll have a calm and peaceful teaching group on Facebook where you can learn everything you need and even have support on nights and weekends. No customer, that ever purchased through us, is alone! And we're there for as long as you own your machine. You are Always just as important to us After the sale as before.
In an uncertain world, you can be assured the Advantage is in Advantage Inc.
Since the warm weather is upon us and more and more are getting out and about in athletic wear, I thought now would be the perfect time to tell you about Pro-Fit. This is for dry-wicking clothing as well as any item that is super thin, like polo's and light weight t-shirts.
The Pro-fit is designed to give you a sturdy stabilizer that will keep the thinnest of material in place while you embroider on it. Pro-fit also minimizes and reduces (and often eliminates) puckering on stretchy and slippery materials.
As importantly, the Pro-fit is less scratchy than most others on the market, giving it that soft touch for those sensitive areas. A single sheet of Pro-fit will also ensure the stabilizer not be seen while wearing the garment.
Comes in rolls as well as pre-cuts. We have rolls of white and pre-cuts in both black and white colors.
Take your embroidery up a notch and use the right stabilizers with the right garments. Leading to a better quality product.
Priced right starting at 10.50 to 12 dollars.
Great embroidery starts with a great needle, for that we sell Organ needles. A quality needle made to a higher standard for smoother sewing.
Organ Needles have been the most widely chosen needle brand by the world’s top sewing machine manufacturers. Organ needles work in industrial embroidery machines as well as many home sewing machines. Because of how Organ needles are produced, using exceptional materials, the needle stays sharper longer, resulting in less thread breaking, skipped stitches, and jamming.
Great quality embroidery needs a quality needle and quality thread. The Organ needle has an oversized eye to help reduce the stress and tension on embroidery thread, creating a smoother finish.
But no needle brand on the market will last forever. Needles dull from use. The finishes and dyes from some fabrics may cause needles to dull or get burrs that may damage threads or the fabrics.
Doug, being a technician would often hear something is going on with the machine, the embroidery is looking poorly or the machine isn’t sewing right. Too often, Doug would go in and change the needles out (or change out their discount needles for the Organ needle) and things would run beautifully. It is still one of the first things we ask a customer to try, change the needle.
How often should I replace my sewing needles? Machine needles should be replaced after a maximum sewing time of 8 hours. Replace needles more frequently when sewing synthetic fabric, appliqués or thick or hard materials. This will avoid skipped stitches, fabric pulls and frayed threads. If a needle bends or has burrs, do not sew with it. Eight hours doesn't mean every 8 hours you have to change all your needles. But if your embroidery isn't looking great, first place to start is to change that needle.
The needle is not a permanent machine part. Needles get dull from use. Needles are meant to be changed. Clues to Changing the Needle - Shredding or broken threads. Skipped stitches. Puckered or damaged fabrics. Uneven seams. Popping, clicking or clunking sound.
The Organ needle comes in specialty needles as well. Needles specially made for Metallic thread, needles for Leather (or thick vinyl). And there’s a multitude of sizes to choose from. Ball point and Sharps are also something to consider when making a purchase. Titanium vs non-Titanium needles are another consideration. If you need a specialty needle, we can get it for you and will do so happily.
Sure, you can buy the needles from a huge company and maybe even save a buck. But they won't care about you or your business. They won't have time to answer your questions and will just point to their 'help' section and make you search out the answers yourself.
Isn't it time you deserved more?
Our Glide Trilobal Thread comes in both 5000m cones and 1100m cones sizes.
There's 265 colors to choose from right now and Glide is always adding in new colors yearly.
The sheen on the thread makes any design gorgeous!
I love that the white colors are a true white and not have silver tones like in some other brands.
One of the greatest features of the Glide are that you are buying USA made thread!
In my opinion, Glide is the best thread on the market and one that I am proud to sell.
Strong, Beautiful, and priced right!
Hoop Tech Hoops
For some items the rounded corners or most hoops just impede the ability to embroider a design, especially if that design is square in shape. That's where the Slimline series in hoop tech come into play. These are square so you are going to be able to use up 98% of the frame for your embroidery.
There's a Slimline1 and Slimline2. The difference in them is strictly the Slimline1 has smaller windows and the Slimline2 was designed for much larger windows.
This is a clamp system so you just use a small lever to clamp the hoop shut. No pushing and hurting your wrists.
Great with all sorts of materials from thin to thick.
These work well with all multi-needle embroidery machines.
You can find these in our store under Hoops.
We're happy to answer questions and help you find the right system for your machine.
